New Evolve Apprentices: Welcome to Josh and Will

Two young technical apprentices work together inspecting and repairing modern office printer equipment.

We’ve welcomed two new apprentices to the Evolve team – William Maddox and Joshua Passmore.

They’ve spent the past few weeks settling into life at Evolve, getting to know the team and finding out more about what we do, so we thought it was time to introduce them properly.

William is from Preston and, away from work, you’ll usually find him watching football, keeping fit or eating!

He also has a couple of connections that might sound familiar. William is the son of Evolve boss Daniel Maddox, while his claim to fame is meeting former Everton and Manchester United manager David Moyes.

Joshua is from Catterall and spends his spare time at the gym, shooting and fishing.

When we asked Joshua for his claim to fame, his answer was simple: “No, not yet!”

Give it time, Joshua. You’ve only just started. 😄

Continuing our apprenticeship tradition

It’s great to have William and Joshua joining us because apprentices have been an important part of how we’ve developed our team at Evolve over the years.

We’ve seen young people come into the business, learn on the job and go on to become established members of the Evolve team.

That includes Finley Worden, who joined Evolve as an apprentice and has since developed her career with us. Today, Finley works directly with our customers and has become a familiar point of contact for many of them.

For us, apprenticeships give young people an opportunity to start their careers while gaining practical experience in a working business. They also give us the chance to develop people who understand our customers, our equipment and the way we work from the beginning.

William and Joshua are now starting that journey.

There’s plenty for them to learn over the coming months and we’re looking forward to seeing how they both develop as they gain more experience.

Welcome to Evolve, William and Joshua! 👋
