Evolve Document Solutions has appointed Shane Smith as a new technician at its headquarters in Bamber Bridge, Preston.
Shane joins the business following previous roles in engineering, customer service and retail, most recently working as a telecommunications engineer at SCS Technologies Ltd in Warrington. He also previously held roles with EG Group, C.P. Davidson & Sons Ltd, and Capita.
He will work with the technical support team responsible for servicing Konica Minolta multifunction printers and managing Evolve’s fleet of office printing systems across the North West. Originally from Preston, Smith attended Ashton Community Science College, also attended by current Evolve owner Daniel Maddox and colleague Adam Logsdon.
Shane said: “It feels great to be back working locally and to join a team where a lot of people know each other. There’s a real sense of pride in what they do here, and I’m looking forward to getting stuck in and supporting customers across the region.”
Founded in 2010, Evolve Document Solutions provides managed print services, document workflow systems and printer leasing to organisations throughout the North West. The company operates from Momentum Business Park in Bamber Bridge and supports a range of public and private sector clients.
Evolve’s service model includes proactive support, remote diagnostics and print audits designed to reduce costs and improve reliability. The business maintains a service call-out fix rate of over 97% on the first visit, according to its published performance data.
Evolve Document Solutions owner Daniel Maddox said: “Shane’s experience across different industries gives him a great foundation for the fast-paced work we do, and it’s a bonus that we’ve all got a shared local background too. It’s a proper Preston story.”
